A New Era for Armageddon Beachparty

In just 5 years, the married, Detroit native Artist duo known as Armageddon Beachparty (Elena & Aubrey Smyth) went from emerging local creatives with big dreams to successful artists opening their own gallery/retail space in Detroit's historic Woodbridge neighborhood near Midtown.

The new Armageddon Beachparty Store & Lounge is an all immersive visual experience designed with top to bottom fully muraled walls & floors, restored original tin ceilings & engaging displays representing the juxtaposition of Detroit's intensive grit & immense beauty.

Their art exists within the realms of contemporary pop surrealism with a bit of satirical psychedelic whimsy & a flair for the iconically ironic. With a mission to make their artwork more accessible to a wider audience, the two of them have developed their work into an art brand that not only offers one of a kind original paintings but also a variety of branded art products such as fine art prints, apparel & accessories - all of which will be available in their new brick & mortar.

Join them for their Grand Opening Weekend as they help redefine Detroit's image with wild creativity and class. Live music on Friday, DJs on Saturday, and on Sunday, a unique cultural event: Empathy Grind, featuring Amand Knox & the authors of Deliver Us, a new novel about Detroit. With special guest, street-artist Eno Laget.
